IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist

Our Team

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This multifaceted role encompasses on-site and remote desktop support, hardware refresh management, communication administration, datacenter administration, and infrastructure project management. The successful candidate will ensure reliable IT support, optimize infrastructure, and manage efficient communication channels for our organization, contributing to maximum uptime and cost-effectiveness.

What You Will Do

Desktop Support

  • Diagnose and resolve PC desktop hardware and software issues.
  • Install and configure new software in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Troubleshoot desktop application issues and support user desk moves.
  • Set up visitor workspaces with connectivity solutions.
  • Manage BRIVO door system for office security.
  • Prepare and distribute loaner laptops for users requiring temporary setups.

Remote Desktop Support

  • Provide remote desktop support for Koch sites in Geneva, Lugano, and London.
  • Travel to remote locations as needed for hands-on technical assistance.
  • Maintain secure office environments using BRIVO door system management.

PC Refresh Administration

  • Track and analyze hardware inventory; identify out-of-warranty hardware for refresh.
  • Ensure hardware upgrades align with policy to reduce downtime and support costs.

Communication Administration

  • Administer mobile devices (Android/iPhone) via Intune Company Portal.
  • Evaluate and implement mobile device management solutions, coordinating with vendors.
  • Monitor communication software (Teams, IceConnect, Reuters IM) and send monthly cost reports.

Datacenter Administration

  • Monitor and maintain datacenter environmental conditions.
  • Oversee data center security and serve as a primary contact for server room maintenance.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for equipment installation and labeling.
  • Identify and implement solutions to optimize space, network, and power usage in the datacenter.

Infrastructure Projects

  • Manage and execute infrastructure projects to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.
  • Collaborate with KBS on end-of-life (EOL) equipment replacements, including Wi-Fi refresh with Meraki appliances.
  • Conduct annual infrastructure equipment assessments and maintain a roadmap for the Varna site.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Proven experience in desktop support, IT infrastructure management, or a related role.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in desktop and application support.
  • Familiarity with mobile device management, communication software, and data center operations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver projects on time.
