IT Services and Support Engineer

Cambridge - Onsite, 5 Days a Week

12-Month FTC (Inside IR35)

£150 - £200 per day

An established global technology company is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join its internal IT team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a structured support environment, enjoys variety in their day, and has a strong customer-first mindset.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Provide 1st line support across hardware, software, and mobile devices
  2. Set up and configure laptops, peripherals, and user accounts
  3. Track and manage IT assets and support hardware logistics
  4. Troubleshoot network connectivity and printing issues
  5. Collaborate with internal teams on escalations and small-scale IT projects
  6. Support occasional onsite events and offsite user needs

The Successful candidate should have the following skills:
  1. Proven experience supporting Windows 10/11 and macOS environments
  2. Confident with hardware troubleshooting and end-user device support
  3. Familiarity with mobile device management (iOS/Android)
  4. Understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP)
  5. Hands-on experience with Active Directory, MDM tools, and remote support platforms
  6. Excellent organisational and communication skills

This is a site-based role in Cambridge, with some occasional travel to other UK locations. You'll be part of a supportive, collaborative IT team that values reliability and initiative.

Contract: 12 months (Fixed Term)
Rate: £150-£200/day (Inside IR35)
Location: Cambridge - 5 days per week onsite
