IT Support Advisor / Technician

OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED IT MANAGER, IT TECHNICIAN, INFRASTRUCTURE ANALYST, IT SUPPORT ADVISOR OR SIMILAR

TITLE: IT Support Advisor / Technician

SALARY: £DOE plus 22 days holiday (increasing to 27 with service) + B/H

LOCATION: Castleford (West side)

You will have worked as an IT Manager, IT Technician, Infrastructure Analyst, IT Support Advisor or similar.

ROLE: IT Support Advisor / Technician

1. Log, respond to, and resolve IT issues reported by staff, ensuring adherence to specified SLA timeframes.
2. Monitor IT infrastructure for potential security incidents and vulnerabilities, providing recommendations for mitigation.
3. Oversee and verify data backup processes to ensure integrity and reliability.
4. Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation.
5. Regularly assess and evaluate the performance and functionality of IT infrastructure.
6. Participate in and execute project work related to IT systems and services.
7. Conduct capacity planning and proactively identify necessary system changes or upgrades.
8. Adhere to quality standards, asset management protocols, and configuration management procedures.
9. Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of IT infrastructure.

EXPERIENCE: IT Support Advisor / Technician

You will have 5 years’ experience in an IT support role such as IT Manager, IT Technician, Infrastructure Analyst, IT Support Advisor or similar.

Experience with the following desirable: Windows Server, Windows Desktop PCs and Laptops, VMWare, Dell EMC storage, Fortigate Firewalls, Mobile device management using AirWatch and Soti (Mobile Phones and Tablets), Microsoft SQL & Reporting Services, Office 365 including Sharepoint 365, Avaya IP Office telephony, Bespoke applications encompassing CRM & ERP, with web, Android tablet and touchscreen PC clients.
