JOB PURPOSE
In this role, you will be responsible for on-the-ground UK IT Support Operations in Manchester and London with a focus on the Manchester Office. You and your colleagues will be the eyes and ears on the ground for IT Support.
You will report to the Global Head of IT Support and will also have a dotted line to the UK Operations Director. You will work closely with both on sign-off of local UK projects and activities, delivering Global initiatives as well as streamlining processes.
You will partner closely with the UK Office Experience Lead and their team. This will include ensuring attendance of the UK IT Support team in the office 3-4 days per week and ensuring support is on hand for important office meetings and activities.
This role will need you to keep your finger on the pulse of the Manchester & London Office as well as maintain efficiency and alignment in key UK processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Global Support & Implementation of Initiatives
- Active role in the Global support process;
- Collaborating with global team in translating global efforts into local practices;
- With input from the Global IT team, oversee the development and enhancement of systems and integrating new systems with existing systems;
- Coordinate project activities, allocate resources, and ensure projects are completed within scope, schedule, and budget;
- Global Tickets Support (UK) - Management of delegated local UK tickets from the global team from end to end.
- Local UK Team Support
- Responsible for UK Office Support in partnership with the UK Office Experience Lead with a focus on the Manchester office:
- Set standards for office support;
- Attendance of office 4 days per week;
- Support with key client meetings;
- Ensuring new joiner setups run smoothly and consistently;
- Manage and oversee local UK vendor relationships where required and agreed with the Global IT Team;
- Manage and oversee any required local projects from end to end;
- Provide UK-wide assistance and technical support to users where required;
- Generate regular reports on the status of IT initiatives, project progress, and performance metrics;
- Analyse existing software applications and IT processes to identify opportunities for consolidation and standardisation;
- Responsible for setting up management and efficiency of the following processes, including integration of solid processes to one single UK process:
- UK Hardware Management;
- UK Employee Lifecycle Set Ups.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field;
- Experience in IT engineering and supporting roles, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience;
- Strong knowledge of IT software, hardware, networking and infrastructure, along with project management skills;
- Have advanced knowledge of Windows & macOS;
- Experience with SaaS software like Google Workspace, O365, Slack, and Atlassian are a plus;
- Have experience with JAMF & Intune;
- Have experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud platform (experience with other cloud platforms would be a plus!);
- Highly self-motivated person with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and teamwork;
- Proven ability to analyse and optimise IT processes and implement solutions to improve efficiency;
- Global IT experience or familiarity with multi-site operations is a plus;
- Have knowledge of the advanced concepts of licensing, security and organization;
- Excellent communication in English.
