The Company
My client is a large and nationally recognised financial services business who are known for being one of the UK's 'great places to work', having won multiple awards.
They are headquartered in the West Midlands with the requirement to be on-site 1 day per week on average.
The Role
As the IT Solutions Design Lead / Manager you will be responsible for both strategic and team management. You will set out the design runway for change programmes collaborating with a variety of senior stakeholders and business areas.
The IT Solutions Design Lead / Manager will work closely with IT Architecture and the wider business to understand both high level business outcomes and the Architecture vision. You will be accountable for the design activity for a programme or set of projects and you will organise design workload and deadlines for your team.
About You
This role would suit someone with a proven track record of leading a high performing team responsible for designing and building quality, robust and secure IT solutions.
You must have extensive leadership experience of IT delivery teams in a large, complex environment and have experience of successful stakeholder management at senior level, with the ability to influence and collaborate with others as well being a strong decision maker.
The successful candidate will possess in depth understanding of all aspects of the software development lifecycle and will also be technically astute and competent in systems design.
Any financial services or regulated industry experience would be great but is not essential.
