Job Description

We have a new opportunity for an IT Senior Auditor to join the team! Reporting into the IT Audit Manager, you'll execute and report on internal audit activity within the AXA UK and Ireland Group (UK&I) providing timely, independent assurance and in doing so, improve the control culture.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you'll be doing:

  • Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of key business, finance, regulatory and IT activities across AXA UK
  • Responsibility for executing and delivering allocated sections of audit assignments to time and quality standards in line with the audit plan approved by the AXA UK&I Audit Committee
  • Maintaining a network of key business relationships with relevant management and staff across AXA UK&I
  • Applying audit standards and methodology during audits, as well as providing ideas and input to the continuous improvement of audit processes
  • Maintaining awareness of emerging risks and significant developments within the financial services industry
  • Accountability for your own professional development, proactively identifying relevant training and development
  • Supporting the audit manager to track the remediation of open audit issues, including obtaining periodic updates on remediation progress to support reporting and validating remediation activity undertaken by the business

What you'll bring:

  • Comprehensive experience in an audit or control function
  • Excellent knowledge of established IT disciplines, such as security, service management, operational resilience and emerging technologies and trends
  • Good understanding of data analytics techniques and tools
  • Significant knowledge of audit practices and techniques
  • Strong networking and influencing skills
  • Professional qualifications such as CISA, CISM, ITIL are desirable
  • Commercial business and project management experience would be advantageous

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
