Job Title: IT Security Engineer

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Wiltshire

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to design and implement security solutions, ensuring the safety of client IT systems while aligning with both business goals and security needs. You will engage with clients to understand their security concerns and offer expert advice on best practices, frameworks, and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop security solutions for endpoints and infrastructure.
  2. Advise clients on security frameworks, best practices, and technologies.
  3. Identify security risks and implement measures to address vulnerabilities.
  4. Collaborate with various teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  5. Stay current with emerging cyber threats, technologies, and industry regulations.
  6. Support the deployment of security solutions from a consultative perspective.
Key Requirements:
  1. 3+ years in IT security, with at least 2 years in a similar role.
  2. Strong knowledge of security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, encryption, etc.).
  3. Experience with vendors like Microsoft, Crowdstrike, Sophos, Fortinet, and Palo Alto is a plus.
  4. Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CompTIA) preferred.
  5. Proven experience delivering security solutions for mid-market clients.
  6. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
