If you have a hands-on background in IT infrastructure installation—think large-scale structured cabling and fibre optic systems—and have since stepped into project management, this is your opportunity to lead complex, high-stakes projects across Energy, Police, and Critical National Infrastructure.

Why This Role?

You won’t just be managing projects—you’ll be delivering mission-critical infrastructure where precision and reliability matter. Our clients operate in environments where delays have real-world consequences—so your work will be pivotal to their success.

What You’ll Be Working On

From designing robust network infrastructures to securing critical national assets, your projects will include:

  • On & Offshore Renewables – Supporting the transition to sustainable energy.
  • Cabling & Network Infrastructure – Delivering large-scale connectivity solutions.
  • Network Security – Ensuring resilient, secure operations.
  • CCTV & ANPR Camera Systems – Powering security and surveillance.
  • Onsite Communications & Connectivity – Enabling seamless operations.
Your Role & Responsibilities
  • Lead large industrial projects for top-tier Energy clients.
  • Own project delivery—on time, on budget, and with risk managed.
  • Balance multiple customer projects with conflicting priorities.
  • Work with internal teams to allocate resources effectively.
  • Maintain proactive and transparent communication with clients—good news or bad.
  • Report on key project metrics—billing, profitability, and risks.
  • Manage Health & Safety in potentially hazardous industrial locations.
What You’ll Need
  • Full UK driving license (and ability to obtain Security Clearance - NPPV3 SC).
  • Mostly remote with occasional work in West Yorkshire (travel covered).
  • Willingness to work onsite at customer locations when needed.
  • Flexibility for some evenings/weekends when projects demand.
Must-Have Skills
  • Exceptional communication & leadership skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness & financial acumen.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management.
  • Naturally proactive, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
  • Experience managing high-value (£1M+) infrastructure projects.
Bonus Points For
  • 5+ years managing large-scale projects in Energy/Utilities.
  • Hands-on technical background in IT infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of Waterfall, Agile, and Prince2 methodologies.
  • Expertise in MS Excel & MS Project for reporting & analysis.
