IT Operations Engineer

Hybrid - 4 days per week in the Portsmouth Office
£35,000 - £40,000

IT Operations Engineer required to join a progressive and leading company within the automotive industry.

Our client is looking to innovate and optimise their IT Infrastructure while keeping security at the forefront. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of their IT landscape and be the go-to expert for resolving IT issues across hardware, software, and network connectivity, both on-site and remotely.

Skills Required:

1. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint).
2. Experience with Microsoft Intune for device and policy management.
3. Expertise in hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
4. Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security best practices.
5. Ability to install, configure, and maintain servers and networking infrastructure.
6. Strong communication skills, with a customer-first mindset.

Desirable Skills:

1. IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or equivalent).
2. CISSP certification (or willingness to work towards one).
3. Hands-on experience with IT service desks or networking support roles.
4. Experience leading IT projects, upgrades, and migrations.
5. A passion for automation, process improvement, and modern IT solutions.
