We are looking for an IT Manager to join our team. You'll proactively identify, implement and maintain ways to optimise the workflow of 100+ hybrid team members whilst ensuring cybersecurity compliance. Your primary responsibility is to anticipate issues and promote best practices while delegating most tickets to an IT supplier - but be ready to pull up your sleeves for hands-on work sometimes as well!
This is a hybrid role – we expect you to be in our Hove office 3 days a week, keeping a close eye on the studio's physical infrastructure of PCs, servers, network, and console dev kits.
Responsibilities
- Implement and promote cybersecurity best practices
- Proactively monitor studio's tech infrastructure, including network, servers, automated testing PCs, dev and test kits
- IT operations management: oversee IT tickets and support, continuously refining processes to enhance efficiency and performance
- Monitor and improve performance and security of networks
- Strategic planning: align IT infrastructure and operations with business goals, managing key projects and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery
- Document processes and best practices
- Provide support for disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation
- Management of VMWare, Windows and Linux VMs
- Track the studio's hardware, software, and equipment inventory
- Helpdesk management (onboarding/offboarding, access requests, troubleshooting issues)
- Manage core system backup checks, maintain data integrity, and collaborate with third parties on infrastructure changes
- Manage relationships with external IT vendors and suppliers, overseeing contracts, negotiating terms, and ensuring the best technology solutions are in place to meet business needs
- Collaborate with teams to identify and implement process improvements
- Proven experience in setting up, maintaining, and improving wired and wireless networks
- Excellent communication skills, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- The ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Strong risk & security awareness
- VMWare or Hyper-V administration
- Group Policy administration
- Bash or PowerShell scripting
- A proactive and strong problem-solving mindset
- IT Administration under ISO 27001 or SOC2
- Microsoft 365 experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of ITSM principles including relevant methodologies, tools, and overall framework
- Proficiency in system backups, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity best practices
- Demonstrated record of budget and cost management experience
- Management of IT systems, covering security, hardware, and software
- Experience collaborating with third-party vendors to resolve issues
