About the role

We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated IT Manager to lead our technology team and ensure the smooth operation of our diverse IT infrastructure. This is a critical role responsible for the strategy, implementation, and maintenance of our systems, empowering our team to excel in their work.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Endpoint Management: Leading the management and support of a diverse endpoint environment.
  2. Network Infrastructure: Ensuring the reliability and security of our office networks in [Manchester] and [London], built on Ubiquiti solutions.
  3. Help Desk & Support: Overseeing the IT support function, ensuring timely and effective resolution of user issues. A key focus will be providing excellent support to our remote employees, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  4. Security: Implementing and maintaining robust security measures to protect our data and systems.
  5. Budgeting & Vendor Management: Managing the IT budget and relationships with technology vendors, including our third-party JAMF support provider.
  6. Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing IT strategies that align with the organization's goals.
  7. Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicating with and managing expectations of internal stakeholders regarding IT services and performance.
  8. ISO 27001 Compliance: Playing a key role in our journey to ISO 27001 certification.
  9. Onboarding/Offboarding: Streamlining the process of onboarding new employees, ensuring they have the necessary hardware, software, and access. Managing the offboarding process, including timely revocation of access and retrieval of company assets, especially for remote workers.
  10. Multi-Location Support: Providing IT support to our offices in Manchester and London.

We’d really like to hear from you, if you have experience in the following:

  1. Working and providing IT support within a remote first company.
  2. Scripting experience in either Python / Bash (endpoint management), which can be used to send push notifications for users.
  3. Experience in speaking to end users of varying levels of seniority within the business, providing a positive and informative experience.
  4. Deep understanding of JAMF Pro (or similar MDM solutions) and experience managing Apple devices in an enterprise setting.
  5. Hands-on experience with Ubiquiti network solutions, including configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  6. Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, etc.).
  7. Good communication skills.
  8. Strong prioritisation and organisational management.
  9. Google Suite / Google Workspace.
  10. Linux/Mac/Windows.
  11. Mobile device management tools.
  12. Jamf.
  13. Crowdstrike.
  14. Canonical landscape.
