Position Overview
Oversee the deployment, supervision, upkeep, and support of the company's back-office IT infrastructure, software, and cloud platforms within established control protocols. Direct and implement technical projects considering cost and risk factors, while providing expert-level technical support for enterprise users and systems. Support the implementation of organizational cybersecurity initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Actively protect IT infrastructure, ensuring maintenance aligns with industry standards and optimal resource utilization.
  • Establish and maintain system reliability, availability, scalability, and performance through coordinated improvement initiatives, ensuring minimal disruption and SLA compliance.
  • Deploy security protocols, procedures, and guidelines across multiple platforms (including disaster recovery and testing environments) based on validated security principles.
  • Execute security recommendations from internal teams and audits as required.
  • Maintain system and platform updates according to established protocols, addressing security vulnerabilities within Cyber Essentials+ framework.
  • Comply with organizational change management procedures for proper documentation and control.
  • Lead technical initiatives and provide expertise for high-priority projects.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and complex technical implementations, ensuring deliverables meet requirements.
  • Supervise physical and virtual IT environments, including servers, hypervisors, storage systems, network equipment, SD-WAN, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Oversee Azure cloud operations, including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Site Recovery, supporting business continuity planning.
  • Provide rapid resolution to technical issues, deliver user training, and implement preventive measures through root cause analysis.
  • Serve as technical escalation point for IT Service Desk regarding infrastructure and cybersecurity matters.
  • Implement best practices for system deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure endpoint security compliance with organizational standards.
  • Address identified security risks with appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, evaluating infrastructure and security landscape for improvements.
  • Monitor network usage for security policy compliance.
  • Coordinate with external partners for IT system implementation.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Extensive technical/security experience with advanced troubleshooting capabilities using tools like Wireshark and Fiddler.
  • Professional certifications (Cisco, VMware, CISSP, or Microsoft).
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Expertise in: Microsoft Windows Server, Office365, Azure, VMware, Enterprise storage, Networking, Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Cloud security expertise and hybrid infrastructure experience.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, SANS, CIS, Cloud Security Alliance).
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented approach with ability to adapt to rapid change.
  • Valid driver's license with flexibility to travel.
  • Alignment with organizational values.
