Our client, a leader in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking an IT Incident Manager to join their team in Preston. This contract role spans six months with potential for extension. This position is part of a Shared Services Business Unit, requiring robust IT project support within the critical defence industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing major incidents and ensuring quick resolution
  • Coordinating with and managing suppliers, escalating issues when necessary
  • Maintaining clear communication with the business
  • Utilising ServiceNow and ensuring service assurance
  • Directing and motivating teams to maintain a high sense of urgency
  • Conducting root cause analysis
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in IT operations
  • Proficiency with incident management tools such as ServiceNow, Peregrine, or Remedy
  • Track record in supplier and vendor management
  • Knowledge of SIAM (Service Integration and Management)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Backgrounds:
  • IT operations experience within a high-security industry
  • Experience working with multiple suppliers
