IT Engineer

Concept are currently recruiting for engineers across the UK to support a leading technology organisation completing swap out and installations of new PCs within a leading supermarket chain's depots.

Engineers will be required to start on 6th January, until the end of February (as per schedule). Travel across the UK will be required; engineers must be happy to stay away from home.

What are we looking for?

1. Engineers to attend site, locate PCs, identify printer switch ports and pass details to remote IT contact and swap out existing PCs for new.
2. Engineers are then required to complete testing, complete iAuditor reports and troubleshoot any issues before packaging legacy kit in preparation for it to be removed from site.
3. Engineers are also required to pass information to remote IT contact, including printer switch ports.
4. Experienced field engineers with experience of PC deployments would be ideal for this project; IT / EPOS / ATM Field engineers will also be considered.
5. Must have own reliable vehicle with business insurance.
6. Work is across the UK, so engineers must be happy to travel and stay away from home on a regular basis.

Working Hours

1. Monday - Friday, day work.
2. On-site times are between 7am or 9am depending on schedule (TBC).
3. Sites per day - no restriction on the number of sites per day.
4. Engineers will be allocated work within a specific region; however, travel will be involved and overnight stays may be required. If an engineer is required to travel out of area, hotels and meal allowances are applicable.

What's on offer?

1. Engineer paid for 5 days per week.
2. Retention payable due to breaks of work - claimable during any breaks of work in engineer schedule.
3. For example, if an engineer is allocated to work Monday to Thursday, they are paid 4 standard day rates plus 1 retention rate. If an engineer is not scheduled to work at all, 5 days of retention are applicable.
4. Daily rate £160 per day based on 10-hour day door to door.
5. Overtime applicable after 10-hours door to door - £16 per hour.
6. Retention rate £100 per day.
7. Mileage claimable after 75 miles travelled per day - 30ppm.
8. Parking is claimable; however, engineers should be able to utilise free onsite parking at most stores.
9. Hotels if applicable - as per schedule.

This role has been assessed and deemed an Outside IR35 role.

If you wish to use a Ltd company, you will need to supply all relevant Ltd company insurances (public and employers liability, professional indemnity, and IR35 insurance) prior to starting the project.
