You love solving challenging business-critical technical problems. You will have a strong grasp of PCI in all its forms and will have previously worked as a technical leader in a PCI environment. We are seeking an ambitious IT Compliance Manager to play a key role in ensuring the technical compliance of critical platforms supporting thousands of customers and millions of citizens.

You will be at the heart of the team that designs, builds, and operates modern, secure, high availability and high-performance payments processing platforms and other key solutions that maximize the efficiency of operations for our customers. The platforms that you will be working on support organisations across the UK, from enabling payments for major clean air initiatives such as the congestion charge and ultra-low emissions zones in London, enabling local authorities to support vulnerable citizens, and enabling payments for the BBC license fee, all the while delivering innovative infrastructure that support Open Banking, payment wallets and alternative payment methods.

Day-to-day, you will:

  1. Ensure that PCI compliance is first and foremost in all operational engineering processes.
  2. Make sure that PCI mandated tasks are performed at the correct frequency to the required standard and that these tests are recorded correctly.
  3. Oversee the deployment and configuration of servers, virtual machines, and application components, ensuring that any such change is PCI compliant and that the required documentation is updated, and any additional checks or tests are performed.
  4. Respond to PCI security incidents, leading the troubleshooting efforts and coordinating with our teams to minimize impact and ensure any lessons are learned.
  5. Ensure compliance with other security standards and best practices, regularly reviewing system configurations and access controls to protect sensitive data and maintain PCI-DSS, PCI-3DSv2 and PCI-P2PE compliance.

Your skills and experiences might also include:

  1. Extensive understanding of the specific issues that face payment processing systems in the payments domain, particularly PCI-DSS, PCI-3DSv2 and PCI-P2PE.
  2. Proven ability to create and maintain comprehensive processes and to encourage system documentation and knowledge sharing within the team to enhance overall system support.
  3. Experience in leading technical projects, coordinating team efforts, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  4. A willingness to stay updated with the latest trends, best practices, and emerging technologies and PCI requirements.
