Tech, Media & IP Associate – London

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Commercial Tech & Media lawyer (4+ PQE) to join a leading team based in London. This role offers a competitive salary of £125,000-£150,000 and the chance to work on high-quality matters within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

This role provides the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, ranging from blue-chip organisations to innovative start-ups operating at the forefront of technology.

There is also the potential to specialise in areas such as life sciences, Fintech, blockchain, robotics and Artificial Intelligence.

The Role:

You will advise on a broad range of commercial matters across various technology sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including collaboration, licensing, supply and distribution agreements
2. Providing advice on intellectual property, IT and data protection issues
3. Supporting partners and team members with efficient professional support
4. Building and maintaining professional client relationships
5. Contributing to business development and participating in marketing events

You will possess:

1. Expertise in IP, IT, technology and data protection issues, with strong general commercial experience
2. A minimum of 6 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) gained from a City, major regional, or leading international firm, or from an in-house role within the industry
3. Excellent drafting skills and the ability to provide practical legal advice
4. Strong analytical skills and experience managing files and assisting with complex, high-value transactions
5. Sound judgement and exceptional interpersonal skills for client-facing work
