As an Engineer (iOS), you’ll be part of one of our Engineering teams, applying architectural and engineering principles to define and deliver technology that will improve our customer experiences, improve efficiency, and reduce business costs, helping us lower prices. With your technical craft, curiosity, and experimentation, you’ll use judgment to apply specific techniques to deliver outcomes that support our customers.

We use a variety of tech here and you need to be willing to pick up new tools and techniques. We’d also like you to be yourself - analytical, curious and unafraid to challenge the status quo. You’ll be a role model for best practices, championing a customer-centric mindset and a passion for finding creative ways to solve problems, and mentoring fellow engineers as a progressive member of the engineering community.

More about the role

  1. You’ll support and enable performance within the team by providing technical knowledge and ideas.
  2. You’ll be part of the design and development of large-scale, high-performance app using technologies such as Swift and the latest frameworks.
  3. Develop within a codebase utilizing technologies writing great quality Swift using well-known patterns such as MVVM, MVC, Clean Architecture, Redux.
  4. Have a passion for learning and utilizing the newest iOS technologies.
  5. You’ll work in a cross-platform team, working on our iOS app but will have the opportunity to learn and work with our other technologies.
  6. You’ll contribute to the entire product development lifecycle, from roadmap, to delivery to potential decommissioning too.
  7. You’ll help to drive the product technical roadmap through a deep understanding of technology and your product.
  8. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that highly values empathy and team spirit.
  9. You’ll work to develop highly tested and well-architected projects.

More about you

  1. You have experience in writing great quality Swift using well-known patterns such as MVVM, MVC, Clean Architecture.
  2. Experience with iOS frameworks such as UIKit.
  3. Experience with XCTest and XCUITest.
  4. Experience with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
  5. Experience with Apple's interface guidelines.
  6. Familiarity with performance and memory tuning with tools such as Instruments.
  7. Proficient understanding of Git.
  8. Familiarity with CI/CD and Fastlane.
  9. Familiarity with Firebase / Firebase Analytics.
  10. Experience with SPM and CocoaPods.
  11. Familiarity with Alamofire, PromiseKit and a Reactive framework.
  12. Beneficial to have SwiftUI and Combine.
  13. Beneficial to have knowledge of KMP (Kotlin Multiplatform) and be open to work on this approach.
  14. You have proven experience of software design and implementation, testing, security, and CI/CD.
  15. You’re driven and constantly striving to improve your own knowledge, the team, and the division.
  16. You’re empathetic and work well with others, and you’re highly collaborative in your ways of working.
  17. You have experience with agile delivery methodologies.
  18. You have a passion for delivering solutions to customers, owning the whole Software Development Lifecycle.
  19. You keep up to date with industry trends and emerging tech.
