The role:

IOC Flight Dispatch Support Executive

Do you want to be part of a professional Flight Dispatch team that manages a global network on a 24/7 basis within our Integrated Operations Centre? You will provide a reliable and consistent support service to the Duty Manager Flight Dispatch position and broader Flight Dispatch team through NOTAM monitoring, weather provisioning and operational flight performance to support the broader control of the operation by integrated operations control.

What you’ll do:

  1. Process, analyse and interpret incoming operational information and data whilst taking the appropriate action including updating of operational systems and databases or escalating where appropriate.
  2. Manage and optimise application reference data and publications to maintain compliance with operational, safety and regulatory requirements whilst maximising operational benefit and notifying other application users as required.
  3. Provide daily summary of weather risks for BA operational stations linked to scheduled times of arrival/departure.

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

  1. Safety and Operational Expertise.
  2. Proven experience in decision making and prioritisation.
  3. Use of operational systems.
  4. Understanding of requirements for aircraft performance briefing.
  5. Proficient in the use of aircraft tracking and weather monitoring systems.

Your experience:

We are looking for candidates who are educated to a minimum of GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English, and have knowledge of Aeronautical Information Publications and Process.
