Eden Scott's client, a leading investment firm in Edinburgh, is seeking a Business Reporting Associate for a 50-week assignment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and experience in business mapping, business processes, and data reporting. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting while supporting process improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Reporting: Prepare and distribute reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with regulatory and client requirements.
  • Business Mapping & Process Improvement: Document and analyse existing business processes, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and control enhancements.
  • Data Analysis & Reconciliation: Perform in-depth data analysis, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure data integrity across reporting systems.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including investment management, technology, and operations, to improve reporting workflows and client experience.
  • SQL & Excel Expertise: Use SQL for data extraction and transformation, leveraging Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros) to enhance reporting processes.
  • System & Process Enhancement: Identify gaps in existing reporting structures, propose improvements, and support implementation of new tools or automation solutions.
  • Client Query Support: Assist in resolving reporting-related client inquiries, ensuring excellent service delivery and proactive issue resolution.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in Client Reporting or Investment Operations, preferably within asset or wealth management.
  • Business Mapping & Process Improvement experience, with the ability to document, assess, and refine workflows.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL and Excel (macros, VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with experience in identifying and implementing process efficiencies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage with teams across business functions.
  • Experience with reporting tools and databases used in investment management is an advantage.
