About our client

The team manages a diverse global portfolio and ongoing interests in established and emerging sectors such as commercial, retail, industrial and the living sectors including multi-family, affordable housing, short/long-stay accommodation and retirement living. The main focus of the property team is on direct style operating platform investments on a global basis leveraging a sophisticated investment team.

What the job involves

1. Support in the sourcing, reviewing, and making recommendations for appropriate direct investments for the property portfolio in Europe.
2. Lead certain aspects of the financial and commercial due diligence work streams and support in coordinating the legal, tax, operational and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reviews for relevant investments.
3. Review and work with financial models to analyse and determine key drivers of performance and to make appropriate assumptions to determine expected investment returns.
4. Assist in the formulation of strategies to achieve investment objectives with regards to property.
5. Manage relationships with and information flows from external fund managers and/or direct property companies.
6. Consistency and value of efforts to grow own knowledge and skills.

Who we are looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in finance or related discipline.
2. Experience in a property-oriented investment role with a high direct investment or co-investment component.
3. Experience in M&A, public-to-private investments, private equity investments in property related companies and joint ventures.
4. Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills and outstanding written and verbal communication/presentation delivery skills.
5. Outstanding Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
6. Solid network of contacts locally and globally.
7. Strong references.
