Cisu Capital Partners is a London-based investment firm focused on financial services. We principally invest in public equities in Europe and North America, with opportunistic deployment into credit.

Our investment framework is highly fundamental and process-oriented, and has been specifically designed to manage a concentrated portfolio of idiosyncratic opportunities which are typically misunderstood and “out-of-favour.”

The firm was established in 2023 and is backed by a number of leading institutional investors with locked-up capital commitments. The founding members have extensive experience from several of the world’s premier hedge funds including Elliott and King Street Capital, and are looking for exceptionally talented and driven professionals to help build a world-class boutique investment firm.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Working directly with the CIO, your role will be to identify, research and evaluate investment opportunities with a focus on balance sheet-intensive financial services companies:

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research and financial analysis on potential investment opportunities
• Build and maintain comprehensive financial models to evaluate companies in the financial sector
• Perform due diligence on investment targets using both top-down and bottom-up approaches
• Monitor market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory developments affecting the banking and insurance sectors
• Diligence and present investment ideas directly to the Portfolio Manager
• Attend industry conferences and management meetings to develop insights
• Track performance of existing investments and provide recommendations

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Requirements

• Self-motivated with exceptional drive and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated history of taking initiative and going beyond assigned tasks
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, or consulting
• At least 2 years of specialized experience analysing financial institutions (banks or insurance companies)
• Strong quantitative skills with demonstrated ability to build complex financial models
• Exceptional analytical mindset with ability to identify patterns and investment opportunities
• Desire to learn and follow a proven and highly structured investment process
• Ability to navigate complexity and leave no stone unturned in search of “the truth”
• Intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning
• Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly articulate investment theses
• Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to thrive in a startup environment
