Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive individual to join our team as an Investment Operations Analyst. The Investment Operations Analyst will be responsible for the daily support and maintenance of a variety of investment operations and compliance duties in addition to administrative, investment, and research support. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure by supporting the entire investment process, from front-to-back-office functions, and offers the potential to grow in many functional areas, as well as become an investment committee member.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate portfolio risk metrics and performance reports using a variety of tools including but not limited to MSCI Barra, Advent APX, FactSet, Bloomberg, and eVestment.
- Review client portfolios, ensuring alignment with objectives, risk management, and client restrictions.
- Manage account setup and ongoing maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Compile and analyze financial data for portfolio and risk analysis to support decision making.
- Collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers, traders, and the broader investment team to help provide a consistently high level of service to our clients.
- Support quantitative research production for equity models and investment strategies.
- Develop new and re-evaluate current operational procedures to promote continuous process improvement.
- Execute back-office functions, including trade confirmation and settlement.
- Assist with ad-hoc operational activities and special projects.
- Perform daily compliance functions for managed investment strategies and client portfolios.
- Conduct risk analysis and assist in identifying potential regulatory issues.
- Provide support in audits and examinations, both internal and external.
- Assist with the creation, implementation, and review of HR and compliance policies and procedures.
- Administrative duties including accounts payable and accounts receivable support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or STEM-related discipline.
- New or recent college graduates, as well as those with up to a few years of experience, are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided as necessary and appropriate.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word – is required. Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.
- Familiarity with investment-oriented tools, including Bloomberg, FactSet, SS&C APX, EZE, and/or MSCI Barra Suite is beneficial but not necessary.
- Will be required to successfully pass a comprehensive background check prior to employment.
