A leading global law firm is seeking an Investment Management Associate (1-3 PQE) to join its European Investment Management Group in London. The Role
As an Investment Management Associate, you will:
- Advise on the structuring, establishment, and operation of pooled capital enterprises, including:
- Private equity funds.
- Real estate and infrastructure funds.
- Credit funds and hedge funds.
- Managed accounts.
Work on complex fund transactions, including:
- Fund formation, structuring, and regulatory compliance.
- Investor negotiations and fund-related corporate matters.
- Strategic fund investments and joint ventures.
- Provide sophisticated legal advice on both a pan-European and global scale.
- Leverage your knowledge of UK and EU fund regulation to advise on fund and asset manager compliance.
- Manage client relationships and collaborate closely with senior lawyers and partners.
- Contribute to business development, thought leadership, and pro bono initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- 1-3 years’ PQE in private funds work, gained at a top-tier funds practice.
- Strong experience in:
- Private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, or venture capital funds.
- Fund structuring, formation, and regulatory matters.
- Investor negotiations and fund-related transactions.
- Knowledge of UK and EU regulation of funds and asset managers (highly desirable).
- Excellent client management and interpersonal skills.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
- A collegiate, adaptable, and proactive mindset.
- A strong academic record and legal qualifications in the UK or a similar common law jurisdiction.
