This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and to contribute to our Investment Banking business.
Our UK Diversified Industries team is a market leading team responsible for the origination and execution of public and private M&A and capital markets transactions involving corporate and financial sponsor clients in the broad industrial sector. The team has a network of advisory & corporate broking relationships across both public (FTSE 100 & FTSE 250) and private industrial companies in the UK & Ireland.
As a Vice President in the Investment Banking UK Diversified Industries coverage team, you will play a vital and accountable role in all aspects of executing Corporate Finance transactions and maintaining strategic dialogue with clients as part of the wider advisory role.
Job responsibilities
- Developing deep & trusted relationships with CEO, CFO and heads of M&A and IR of large and mid-cap public companies as well as Financial Sponsor teams.
- Advice and execution on highly complex and multi-faceted transactions, where the successful candidate will lead the engagement with executive teams, as well as wider industry and product partners within JPMorgan.
- Partner with other senior members on client origination.
- Responsible for monitoring and evaluating current events, valuation and other financial information on the clients of the group.
- Lead the preparation of presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue.
- Building and using financial models, and complete large and complex valuation and analytical exercises.
- Provide leadership, mentorship and supervision to Analysts and Associates.
- Provide corporate broking services, including market intelligence, investor relations support, and advice on regulatory and compliance matters.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Relevant Diversified Industries or M&A investment banking experience.
- Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity.
- Very strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation work).
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutions.
- Demonstrates adaptability, able to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrates the ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner.
- Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment.
- Excellent understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks in today's environment.
- Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive.
- Excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience and knowledge advising on UK FCA regulated transactions advantageous.
