Your team

You will be joining one of the leading infrastructure and power franchises in EMEA, which has a dynamic and tight knit team culture. Over the past 4 years, the team has been active in numerous high-profile transactions, and has become a leader in sell-side M&A. Key achievements include:

  1. Advising on 62 M&A deals since 2021
  2. Advising on 41 sell-side M&A deals since 2021
  3. Awarded Infrastructure Placement Agent of the Year (2024, IJ Awards)

The team’s sector focus covers three core verticals:

  1. Power: Focused on sponsor owned and traditional power generators operating across the full spectrum of technologies including a strong focus on net zero assets across the renewables and other green technologies spectrum, flexible generation, nuclear, and interconnectors
  2. Utilities: Engaging with integrated and regulated utilities covering transmission and distribution (molecules and electrons) but also supply-focused customer businesses and water utilities
  3. Infrastructure: Focused on both “core” sectors involving port, toll-road, leasing, and rail assets as well as “core +” mandates across value-add infrastructure, with opportunities for cross staffing across related sector teams including digital, and business services

As an Analyst, you will provide key analytical support in idea-origination efforts and transaction execution focused on M&A, equity / debt / private capital markets transactions, and continuation vehicles.

• 1-2 years experience (full time or internships) in investment banking including both idea generation and transaction execution (with a focus on M&A)
• Excellent financial modelling experience (operating models / DCFs, merger models, LBOs)
• Robust understanding of asset and corporate valuation and ability to prepare Excel models and PowerPoint decks
• Solid financial and accounting skills
• Passionate and motivated to develop your career and relationships both within UBS and with your clients
• Strong communication skills
• Previous experience in an investment banking role in Infrastructure and Power, or another industrial sector is preferred but not necessary
• Proficient in spoken and written English is essential; additional languages are a plus but not required
