We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated, well-organised individual to work as a Site Team Leader within our Inventory Management service.
We provide an Inventory Management Service at each of our 4 main sites within the Trust and we are advertising one Team Leader at the following site:
North Tyneside General Hospital.
This is a Fixed Term contract covering a secondment until 31st March 2026.
The post holder will provide leadership and manage the day-to-day operations for the Site Inventory Management team to ensure the provision of an Inventory Management service for a specific hospital site across Wards/Departments and Theatres within the hospital.
The Inventory Team is overall responsible for the provision of inventory services (exc. pharmacy) across Northumbria Healthcare Trust (NHCT). The Inventory Team Leader will ensure reordering and replenishing of stock, taking receipt of deliveries, stock level monitoring, maintaining minimal stock levels, stock rotation, and tracking of stock across multiple sites by onsite Inventory Co-Ordinators.
Responsibilities will also include sickness absence management, compiling of staff rosters, assisting in staff appraisals, staff training, and addressing performance/disciplinary issues.

Supporting the IM Manager, the post holder will lead effective staff 1-2-1 meetings to inform, engage, and motivate IM staff. Assisting in establishing a clear focus and direction for the team, ensuring all members understand their role within the department and the Trust.
They will be the key point of contact liaising with clinical staff, being visible, accessible, and coordinating all aspects of Inventory Management for their hospital site.
To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the Trust.
