Position: International Service Improvement Manager - Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre
Salary: Competitive salary

Benefits: Car allowance of £4200 or £3700 as cash via payroll each month (£308.33), Healthcare, and an annual bonus potential of 18%. Generous annual leave offering of 27.5 days, plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days after 10 years service.

Improving and maintaining the quality of international export and import products is crucial for revenue and growth plans at Royal Mail's international business. This is a fantastic opportunity that focuses on utilizing available data to identify key performance gaps in our pipelines, establishing clarity on failure root causes, and engaging with stakeholders to drive performance improvement.

This is a hybrid working role with a requirement to attend our Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre, with some domestic travel in line with business needs.

About the Role

  1. Development of quality governance process for International import and export products including the ownership of an overall quality plan for International products.
  2. Identify root causes of operational failure across the import and export product pipeline and develop improvement actions using diagnostic data and operational knowledge.
  3. Work with Commercial stakeholders to prioritise the improvement actions that will have the greatest impact on measured quality and commercial benefit.
  4. Formulate and gain concurrence to improvement action plans, with the relevant stakeholders of pipeline segment performance.
  5. Continuously review the delivery and effectiveness of the agreed actions, identifying corrective actions and re-planning as appropriate to maintain focus on continual improvement.
  6. Build effective working relationships with stakeholders responsible for pipeline segment performance, raising awareness and understanding of the performance of international products and its impact on wider business performance.
  7. Report to the monthly International Pipeline Quality Review Meeting on the most recent measurement results, the agreed action plans resulting from that information, and the effectiveness of previously agreed and reviewed actions.

About You

  1. Thorough knowledge of International/Inland Royal Mail pipelines, international mail & parcel products.
  2. Be politically aware and able to think strategically as there is high-level contact and influencing of Senior Stakeholders both within Royal Mail and external organisations.
  3. Process management: Have demonstrable success in performance and quality management with internal and external stakeholders/Suppliers. Be able to assimilate complex data, perform data analysis and turn this into action and improvement plans.
