Job Title: Food Raw Materials and Ingredients Trader

Barclay Meade is partnering with Longulf, a well-established leader in global trading since 1977, to find a dynamic Food Raw Materials and Ingredients Trader for their London office. Longulf specialises in supplying essential raw materials and machinery to manufacturing companies worldwide.

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving new business development, expanding Longulf's trading operations in both existing and new markets. With a focus on dairy and food ingredients, this role requires a strong understanding of food manufacturing procurement and food science technologies. Frequent sourcing trips, including visits to rural locations and processing centers, will be necessary to identify new suppliers and expand the company's global network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate new trade opportunities and expand sales in various markets.
• Identify and audit new manufacturing sources for materials.
• Collaborate with Longulf’s global offices to maximise business opportunities.
• Support new projects that add commercially viable products to Longulf’s portfolio.
• Provide timely market intelligence and update the Division's databases.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong business acumen with a results-driven approach.
• A team player who is reliable, empathetic, and flexible.
• Fluency in English; fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
