Overview of the Role:
Reporting into the Group Account Director; Paramount Advertising International, the Account Director will be responsible for pitching, negotiating and delivering best-in-class advertising solutions to agencies & clients across a range of categories and international markets within the Paramount portfolio of channels, working in partnership with their Account Manager and Planner. This role will require the development of strategies and creative solutions to unlock investments at agency and advertiser level, both at a multi-market and local market level, including standard media advertising solutions and creative custom branded content opportunities.
Paramount's streaming business is growing globally; candidates will ideally have experience and knowledge of the Connected TV & Streaming ecosystem.
What will you be doing?
Client Management and Business Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brands, agency contacts, and key accounts in the advertising space.
- Develop and present compelling advertising proposals that showcase the power of Paramount's platforms.
- Understand clients' needs and campaign objectives, crafting creative solutions that align with their requirements.
- Grow and nurture a healthy pipeline of leads to drive revenue.
- Leverage existing key brand and agency relationships to expand business opportunities.
- Work alongside existing PAI sales team and coordinate GTM sales approach.
Sales Execution and Strategy
- Implement strategic sales plans to maximize advertising revenue across Paramount's platforms.
- Drive sales across Paramount's tent pole events such as the MTV Europe Music Awards and Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards.
- Achieve quarterly revenue targets, focusing on client retention and scaling up the existing advertising book of business.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts.
- Accurately plan and forecast new business and revenue booked.
Team Coordination and Leadership
- Work closely with the Group Account Director to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Supervise and mentor Account Managers.
- Collaborate with the Account Management team to manage client expectations and ensure successful campaign delivery.
- Ensure smooth communication between the sales team and other departments.
Platform Knowledge and Innovation
- Maintain a strong understanding of Paramount's ecosystem.
- Keep abreast of developments in digital video advertising and communicate relevant updates to the team and clients.
- Assist in developing innovative advertising solutions that leverage the unique features of each platform.
- Provide feedback to product, marketing, and management teams on market demand and new feature development.
Performance Management and Reporting
- Support the Group Account Director in overseeing account-level P&L and project scopes.
- Deliver quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and attend strategic meetings with key clients throughout the year.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 7 years' experience in media advertising.
- Professional approach.
- Proven ability to motivate a sales team and achieve revenue targets.
- Strong negotiation and trading skills with a clear understanding of the business.
- Proven relationships with senior media agencies and understanding of the agency business model.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for clients.
