Internal Communications Manager - Global Media Organisation

Salary: c£50,000-£55,000

Responsibilities:

  1. Employee engagement and internal communications, lead communications and support project delivery of the Group’s flagship talent development programme.
  2. Manage internal communication related to the Group’s social initiatives via website, social media and other appropriate tools and communication channels.
  3. Develop effective initiatives and platforms to expand and enhance the brand and company image globally; increase public awareness of a company’s social responsibility commitments and achievements.
  4. Drive employee engagement around social responsibility within the Group.
  5. Report on all community initiatives and campaigns to the senior management; advise on partner & programme direction and lead action plans.
  6. On ESG, understand the minimum legal reporting requirements and best practice examples of ESG actions and communication that could be considered.
  7. Drive efforts to develop and publish an annual report on CSR/ESG commitments and successes, at Group and OpCo level.
  8. Execute the Group's strategy, policies, programmes, and practices in the communication level which encompasses the Group's corporate social responsibility policies and codes of conduct.

The successful candidate:

  1. Excellent writing skills, research well, and pull together information, facts into a document/presentation to inform, persuade, present etc.
  2. The ideal candidate would be someone who’s probably worked at a think-tank or a political party (research, comms work, excellent communication skills both written and verbally).
  3. Stakeholder management in complex, geographically dispersed organisations is a plus.
  4. Fluency in English, both verbal and written; other languages would be advantageous.
  5. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Ability to work independently.
  7. Ability to interact collaboratively and effectively with internal stakeholders at a variety of teams, departments and seniority levels.
  8. Ability to manage relationships and networks that include a diverse group of people representative of the public and private sectors, community-based organizations, and other groups of external stakeholders.
  9. Ability to drive complex multi-stakeholder planning processes and cross-teams projects to desired results.

Central London office based, with international travel required occasionally.
