Internal Account Manager - Home Care, I&I

Our team in Leeds currently has an opening for a Internal Account Manager - Home Care, I&I.

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote Brenntag’s speciality product range and services to all current and prospective customers within a designated area and market.
  • Deliver sustainable profitable growth through taking the lead on customer management, lead generation, and conversion of new business.
  • Establish and maintain a visit/contact schedule in line with account value, competitive risk, and customer support requirements.
  • Manage accounts against set targets, including mandatory face-to-face sales call quotas each month.
  • Accurately document customer meetings and establish rigorous follow-up mechanisms to maintain momentum and close sales deals.
  • Maintain the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database which includes: updating customer contacts regularly, recording and completing customer visit notes on a daily basis, completing details on customer potentials, keeping customer opportunities up to date, and raising sample tickets.
  • Communicate with relevant members of the team to follow up on any actions following a customer interaction.
  • Maintain Customer Pricing, updating the quotations using the system in place and communicating and negotiating where needed.
  • Liaise with appropriate Technical Sales Managers and Industry Market Managers to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Arrange and attend customer joint visits with other stakeholders including Technical Sales Managers and Suppliers.
  • Proactively liaise with Internal Stakeholders to resolve customer queries/issues promptly.
  • Build customer loyalty and develop knowledge of their business activity, highlighting potential products to offer from Brenntag’s product range.
  • Prepare and complete monthly reports for the respective sales area with insight into customer activity, market, and competitor information.
  • Analyse sales performance trends and react accordingly to any lost and/or threatened business.
  • Seek and report any competitive insight to inform strategy and purchasing/pricing tactics.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Full UK Driving License is essential.
  • Experience as an Internal Account Manager, ideally in Chemical.
  • Self-motivating.
  • Strong communicator with negotiation skills.
  • Well organised.
  • Quick response.
  • Pro-active approach.
  • Customer-facing experience.
  • Ability to confidently organise, plan and execute sales strategies.
  • Highly proficient in literacy, numeracy, and IT.
