THE ROLE
An exciting role for an INTERMEDIATE PROJECT MANAGER who has an understanding of the requirements to set up temporary and permanent exhibitions, galleries, etc. for museums, art galleries, and similar projects both in the UK and abroad.
The role is generally based from their London SE1 office, but there may be a need for occasional overseas and UK travel.
You will work closely with the client, architects, and subcontractors as required.
Most projects are valued from around £2m to £35m.
Current projects are based in the UK, the USA, and the Middle East.

THE COMPANY
My client is a small firm of consultants specializing in the setting up and fit-out of projects for art galleries, museums, exhibitions, etc.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Project Manager who has been working either for an art gallery, museum, exhibition centre, construction consultants, fit-out contractor, or similar.
You should have gained experience of at least one project in a similar sector and have 2-3 years of project management experience.
Qualifications may be in construction, surveying, art, history of art, or similar.
Ideally, you will have some experience in the use of Microsoft Project.
You should be able to do short-term travel overseas for meetings, site visits, etc. when required.
You must have excellent written and spoken English and be confident in dealing with people at all levels.
Salary will be a basic of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum depending on your level, plus pension, PHI, etc., along with excellent prospects for promotion.
