Salary: c£45k-£55k basic plus competitive package

Company & Project: A highly regarded main contractor operating in the Residential, Education, Commercial, Mixed-Use and Science sectors, is seeking to recruit a Design Manager to join their business. Projects include Design and Build projects valued c£5m-£30m across multiple sectors.

Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for technical compliance and design management predominantly at early feasibility and procurement stages, but also with involvement in monitoring the on-site Design coordination and managing external consultants.

Desirable Experience:

1. Experience as an Assistant Design Manager, Design Coordinator, or Design Manager from early planning stages through to project completion.
2. Minimum of 2 years' post-graduate experience working for a Main Contractor, Architects, Consulting Engineers, or Sub-Contractor.
3. Knowledge of Construction methodology and Design & Build contracts would be advantageous.

Previous Roles: Intermediate Design Manager, Trainee Design Manager, Technical Manager, Assistant Design Manager, Design Manager, Design Co-ordinator, Assistant Design & Build Manager.

Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services, or Architecture would be advantageous, or comparable qualification.
