Job description

Are you an Interior Designer who has been waiting for the right opportunity to further your career within a creative design consultancy based just outside of Coventry city centre?

Conrad Consulting are currently working together with a thriving design consultancy in their search for a talented Interior Designer to join their close-knit team on a permanent basis.

The company is a well-established, multiple award-winning practice that has established a prominent reputation in the industry and now boasts an enviable portfolio of clientele throughout the UK. The core sectors the practice works within include Hospitality, Retail, and Leisure, with a mixture of both repeat and new clients using their services.

It is hoped that the successful Interior Designer holds around 3-8 years' experience working within a commercially led Interior Design Practice with project experience including hospitality and leisure projects.

The studio has implemented a flexible/agile working model that will see you working from home up to 3-4 days a week (personal preference), with the office generally being full on Mondays & Thursdays. Having a couple of days in the office means social activities and meetings can be held face to face, while keeping hold of the working from home flexibility.

Offering ongoing training and support, this is a great opportunity for an ambitious Interior Designer to excel and further their career.

Responsibilities of the Interior Designer:

  1. Utilise AutoCAD and Photoshop to produce high quality detailed drawings, schedules and colour/mood boards.
  2. Produce initial sketches of spatial layouts.
  3. Produce sketches of the detailed design elements to demonstrate an understanding of the 3D realisation of plans.
  4. Liaise with clients to respond to any queries regarding live projects.
  5. Develop and maintain a sound understanding of computer based design software.

Skills and Characteristics required of the Interior Designer:

  1. A degree in Interior Design or equivalent/relevant qualification.
  2. Creative flair and ability to think dynamically.
  3. Excellent attention to detail.
  4. Good organisational and planning skills.
  5. Sector experience in Hospitality, Retail and Leisure (desirable).
  6. Proficiency in AutoCAD & Photoshop.

A salary in the region of £30,000 - £40,000 (dependant on experience) per annum will be on offer to the successful applicant, alongside an attractive benefits package.
