Job Description:

Competitive Salary & Benefits

Based in London

With your knowledge of buildings and spaces – and your ability to produce and work from technical drawings – as our Interior Design Project Assistant, you could soon be supporting a whole range of exciting architectural projects at home and overseas.

Designforce operates as a small building design studio and construction business, providing services across an expanding property portfolio that spans high-end residential and luxury office spaces as well as warehouse units, in the UK, Ireland, and on an international scale. The company is also part of a diverse, well-established, independently owned media group and is poised for further rapid growth. Now is the time for ambitious, talented people to share in the challenge – and the rewards.

In this high-profile role, you’ll be working closely with Directors and clients on a varied portfolio of prestigious projects in multiple locations. These will include project sites across the UK, Ireland, and overseas that offer unique creative design opportunities. Demonstrating a highly professional, hands-on approach, you’ll produce detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings from Architect’s and Interior Designer’s schemes, assist in the planning, procurement, and scoping of design elements for each project, and ensure smooth project execution throughout the design and build cycle.

So what sort of talents are we looking for?

Solid experience in a similar role, preferably within a design studio or building design environment and ideally working on high-end residential and commercial projects. Good knowledge of the design and build cycle, including high-quality technical drawings, measurements, procurement, scoping, and specification of fittings and materials. Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD, Office 365, and Adobe Suite is essential – and experience in the use of 3D visualisation software (e.g., SketchUp, Revit) would be beneficial, as would familiarity with interior design principles.

It goes without saying that you must have a passion for design, technical precision, and luxury architecture. You can also demonstrate a proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and the willingness to travel regularly to project sites. You’ll be expected to liaise confidently and effectively with Directors, clients, and contractors, so strong communication skills are essential too.

This is a truly unique challenge that offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase all your talents, expand your skill set, and keep your career on the up and up. If you’ve got what it takes, show us today!

To apply, please send your CV and cover letter.
