Interim Senior Public Health Lead (Health Protection)

Our Public Health team is part of an excellent partnership offering better services across the London Boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth. We are seeking to appoint an Interim Senior Public Health Lead for Health Protection, supporting both councils to protect residents from health hazards arising from infectious disease and the environment.
The two boroughs have different and dynamic populations presenting a fantastic opportunity to address a wide range of population health challenges. You will be part of a dedicated and friendly Public Health team that is embedded across all council departments and serving over half a million residents. We have an excellent track record of developing our public health staff, and many have gone on to take more senior roles in future careers.
The role involves:
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
You will need Health Protection experience, with skills and experience in data analysis, project, stakeholder and staff management, as well as communication and political awareness. You will be able to work flexibly and autonomously, reporting to the Consultant in Public Health.
You will hold a Master’s level qualification in Public Health or a Public Health/Health Protection related field.
