Interim Major Projects Manager (Construction/Estates)

Public Sector Estate – East Sussex

6 months (with a view to extend)

£300 - £350 Per Day Inside IR35/or equivalent FTC salary

About the client

The Management Recruitment Group is seeking an Interim Major Projects Manager (Construction/Estates) for a Public Sector Estate in East Sussex.

Accountabilities

Develop and implement major capital building projects across a large property portfolio
Ensure major capital construction projects are delivered on time and budget
Work collaboratively with members of the estates management team
Identify, report and manage risks on future construction schemes in delivery of this organisation's estates strategy
Ensure health and safety and statutory compliance is adhered to
Management of expenditure and budgets
Management of external contractors, design teams and consultancies
Deliver a broad range of capital projects including refurbishments, adaptations, renovations, new-build, expansions

Candidate Requirements

NEBOSH or other health and safety qualification
RICS, CIOB or working towards
Proven experience in an estates management function
Proven experience delivering capital construction projects ideally within a public sector/client-side environment
Able to start at short notice
Willing to travel to site as required
