Interim Legal Counsel - Consumer Regulatory Telecoms

As a legal counsel you will work with other members of the Customer & Sales legal team as well as our financial services, marketing and IP, DP, business and regulatory legal teams.

Description

1. Providing legal support to commercial and go to market teams on the development and implementation of new product features and services;
2. Working with digital, retail and contact centre operations teams to ensure that our customers benefit from best in class frictionless journeys which are compliant with applicable regulation;
3. Implementing new laws and regulation and ensuring our customer terms and conditions and other legal documents are up to date and managed appropriately;
4. Supporting our Indirect and affiliate partner channels;
5. Managing customer claims;
6. Providing timely legal advice to transformation programme;
7. Advising on Ofcom's General Conditions and providing advice on general consumer law.

Profile

1. You are agile and innovative in the way you approach legal advice, working with the business teams to solve challenges.
2. You are proactive, practical and commercial - actively take initiative and focus on solutions/business outcomes with a "can do" problem-solving attitude.
3. You are a constructive and consultative team player with good communication skills and an ability to communicate with, and influence people at all levels (internally and externally) in a clear, succinct and persuasive way.
4. Flexibility and ability to handle change and a busy environment.
5. Strong planning, multi-tasking, and organisational skills.
6. Qualified as a solicitor or barrister in the UK or other Commonwealth jurisdiction.
7. Prior UK in-house or private practice experience, ideally in a telecommunications, media or communications company or appropriate private practice team.

Job Offer

1. An estimated day rate range of £550 - £675.
2. A 3-month contract with high potential for extension.

4. 2-3 days hybrid working in the office in Reading.
