Job description

Your new company

A great opportunity for an ambitious lawyer looking to join the investment arm of a well-known international bank. Their strategy, product, and culture are underpinned by a philosophy that centres around sustainability, and they specialise in forward-looking investments that promise long-term returns.

Your new role

Reporting to the UK Head of Legal, you will participate in the provision of legal services to the UK business and across the group globally. The role is dynamic and necessitates flexibility, requiring you to work independently whilst collaborating with stakeholders across the business, to support with:

  1. Drafting and reviewing a range of asset management contracts
  2. Monitoring legal and regulatory change
  3. Advising on legal issues and risk
  4. Document management and execution
  5. Providing company secretarial support

The role offers a chance to work at the heart of a major asset management entity's legal framework.

What you'll need to succeed

The team is looking for a qualified lawyer with 2-4 years PQE, with solid experience in an asset management business or related regulated financial services business. The ideal candidate will have current knowledge of the English legal and regulatory system. Some previous company secretarial experience would be advantageous.

This position is ideal for a proactive and ambitious lawyer capable of communicating effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients. You must also be able to solve problems rationally and decisively, and learn from things when they don't go to plan.

What you'll get in return

This is an exciting and prominent legal role within a major asset management division. Alongside a day-rate of up to £600 (based on experience) and 38 days' annual leave, inclusive of public holidays, you will get the chance to shape the organisation's approach and further develop your own leadership and decision-making skills within a collaborative environment where you are given the independence to make a difference.
