Monday to Friday work schedule

Outside IR35 (Ltd. Co. suitable)

Proven experience in Health and Safety within Food and/or Beverage sectors.
Mechanical background with knowledge of production machinery.

Manage Health, Safety and Environment Management systems and activities.
Conduct risk assessments and report to the H&S Director.

I am recruiting for a world leading food manufacturer who require are in the market for an Interim Health & Safety Manager to join their business for a minimum 3–6-month contract. They are looking for someone to start immediately on their site based in West Yorkshire.

For the position of Interim Health & Safety Manager, you will be required to conduct the following daily duties:

Managing Health, Safety and Environment Management systems and activities
Apply relevant technical guidance to control hazards and potential risks
Respond to incidents, report KPI’s
Report to H&S Director and executive team daily
Facilitate a risk assessment programme for continuous review
Maintain database, monitor trends and improvement opportunities

The successful Interim Health & Safety Manager will need to have the following attributes:

Strong track record within H&S in Food and/or Beverage
Mechanical background – conveyors, baggers, packers, palletisers, hoppers
Ability to interact with and manage internal and external labour
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
