Location: Wigan / Warrington / St Helens / Liverpool / Manchester

Contract: 3-6 month contract / PAYE / Umbrella / Limited Co.

Salary: GBP325.00p/d – GBP375.00p/d

Industry: Special Purpose Machinery / Manufacturing / Packaging / FMCG

I am recruiting for a world-leading manufacturing business who require an Interim Health & Safety Manager. Initially, there is a commitment of 3 months with a likelihood of extension.

Responsibilities:

• Managing Health, Safety and Environment Management systems and activities
• Arranging H&S training for all plant employees
• Applying relevant technical guidance and controlling physical, chemical, electrical, mechanical, and ergonomic hazards and potential risks
• Facilitating a risk assessment programme for continuous review
• Maintaining database, monitoring trends and improvement opportunities

Qualifications:

• Strong track record within H&S in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Experience in managing external parties and 3rd party contractors
• Experience using Environment Management Systems
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
