Interim Head Of Financial Services

My NHS client is looking to recruit an Interim Head of Financial Services for an initial period of 3 months. Reporting into the Deputy Director of Finance, the role will be responsible for the provision of an effective financial services function whilst leading on the year end statutory accounts process and ensuring that appropriate financial controls are in place and financial advice is provided.

This is a key role and day to day will include:

1. To be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive Financial Services function to the Trust.
2. To be responsible for the preparation and submission of periodic statutory accounts and returns in accordance with agreed timetables.
3. To be responsible for the interpretation and application of accounting policy and accounting standards.
4. To provide expert advice to the Trust on financial or capital accounting issues to enable the Trust to make judgements and decisions on a range of highly complex financial situations.

To be considered for the role you will need to be a CCAB qualified Accountant with experience in NHS finance as well as experience of working at a senior level.

The role is interim for an initial 3 month period and requires 3 days a week on site in Poole. The day rate on offer is circa £430 a day.
