Job Description

• Take full ownership of the balance sheet, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations, integrity of financial data, and complete substantiation of all balances.
• Drive enhancements in balance sheet reporting by implementing best-practice templates, providing training, upskilling team members, and embedding consistent routines and improved ways of working.
• Oversee the month-end close process, including the preparation and review of accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations, stepping in hands-on when needed.
• Lead the month-end reporting cycle and implement process improvements to achieve a streamlined five-day close.
• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and financial reports for review by senior stakeholders.
• Conduct variance analysis and performance reviews to provide actionable financial insights.
• Strengthen and maintain robust financial control processes, ensuring full compliance with internal policies and governance frameworks.

The Successful Applicant

• ACA Qualified, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with a focus on management accounting and financial analysis.
• Experience working in a global organisation with exposure to multiple currencies and international operations.
• Workday knowledge desirable.

What's on Offer

• Competitive daily rate - £600-700pd depending on experience.
