Interim Financial Accountant

We are partnering with a global poverty relief charity in the search for an interim Financial Accountant for a duration of three months. This post will support during a busy period and a time of change, processing and verifying accounting transactions, conducting reconciliations, and supporting financial analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who can work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the worldwide mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reserves & Reconciliations: Review reserves, reconcile control accounts, and support balance sheet reviews.
• Project & Contract Support: Assist in financial reviews of contracts, project closures, and compliance checks.
• Year-End & Audit Support: Support PSA calculations, year-end disclosures, reconciliations, and audit preparations.
• Policy & Compliance: Ensure transactions are correctly categorised and assist with policy updates.
• General Accounting & System Support: Assist with payables, receivables, reporting, and system improvements.

What We're Looking For:

• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Strong experience in financial accounting, reconciliations, and audits ideally within the charity sector
• Proficiency in accounting software & Microsoft Excel
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
