Interim Finance Officer

Location: Greater London, Shepherd's Bush

As Finance Officer, you'll play a vital role in the efficient running of the finance team. This is a hands-on, high-energy position where accuracy and attention to detail are key. With a high volume of invoices to process, you'll need to work swiftly and precisely to match purchase orders to invoices, ensuring all data is accurately entered into the system. This is a short term contract requiring on site attendance five days a week. An enhanced DBS will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process a high volume of invoices and purchase orders efficiently and accurately.
2. Match purchase orders to invoices to ensure smooth transactions and accountability.
3. Perform data entry tasks, ensuring all financial records are updated and maintained with precision.
4. Collaborate with the finance team to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
5. Provide support to the wider team and contribute to a culture of high performance and delivery.

About You:

1. Proven experience in processing purchase orders, invoices, and high-volume data entry.
2. Fast, efficient, and accurate with a strong attention to detail.
3. Experience in a finance role, ideally in an education or not-for-profit sector, is an advantage.
4. Strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
5. Proactive, with a keen eye for resolving discrepancies and ensuring smooth financial operations.
