Interim Finance, Commercial & Investor Relations Director - Infrastructure Program
1000- 1200 per day
6 Months+
Southeast (Hybrid)

As Interim Finance, Commercial & Investment Relations Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery and financial management of a large capital investment construction project. The role will encompass Investor Relations, Commercial and the application of financial rigour while the business gears up to deliver the project. You will work with the leadership team to build a new Finance Team to support the delivery of the program, work with operational team leads and external contractors from a commercial perspective and be point of contact for any external funding / investment.

Role Deliverables:

1. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly financial reporting for Capital Investment to ensure accurate accounting and cost control.
2. Manage the commercial relationship with external contractors.
3. Responsibility for Investor Relations relating to the project.
4. Provide clear, timely reports to the business, Executives, and Board, demonstrating control and linking performance with investment.
5. Prepare and present performance reports to the Executive Committee and Investment Sub-committees, offering insights and guidance to drive the business forward.
6. Deliver a 5-year Financial Plan for the program.
7. Lead finance discussions on Commercial, Contractual, and Investment matters to ensure balanced commercial accountability.
8. Collaborate with business units to ensure forecasts are accurate and timely, supporting treasury management and investor confidence.
9. Ensure project and program investments are accurately recorded according to budget guidelines, with any deviations captured promptly.
10. Ensure Operational and Capital Efficiency targets are met and progress is tracked.
11. Lead finance efforts to improve Procurement Control.
12. Own the Risk Management process and oversee Financial Inputs for investment decisions.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.).
2. Experience in a regulated and/or infrastructure-based business with large-scale capital investment experience.
3. Demonstrable experience partnering at the Executive Level.
4. Proven ability to manage teams to deliver within a complex matrix structure.
5. High levels of Commercial Acumen.
