Interim Engineering Manager
Location: North Wales
Rate: £450-£500p/d
Contract: Interim Outside IR35

gap technical is proud to be partnering with a leading food manufacturing business in their search for an experienced Interim Engineering Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key leadership role within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the engineering team to deliver exceptional maintenance and engineering support, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  2. Oversee the implementation of preventative maintenance programs to optimize equipment reliability.
  3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and productivity.
  4. Lead, coach, and develop the engineering team to achieve operational excellence.
  5. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and quality standards throughout the engineering function.
  6. Manage engineering budgets and control costs while maintaining high standards of maintenance and reliability.
  7. Collaborate with the production and operational teams to support site performance objectives.
  8. Ensure all engineering activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Person Specification:
  1. Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, ideally within the Food, FMCG, or Manufacturing sector.
  2. Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  3. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  4. In-depth knowledge of maintenance best practices and continuous improvement techniques.
  5. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance within the food manufacturing industry.
  6. Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
