Your new company
A forward-thinking local authority dedicated to maintaining and enhancing their publicly owned non-residential buildings. They are seeking an experienced Interim Building Surveyor to join the surveying team and contribute to a wide range of project management and building surveying tasks.

Your new role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and surveying publicly owned non-residential buildings, with project values ranging from £10K to £4M. This includes both new and refurbishment scheme design and specification. You will work on a variety of schemes, including modern and historic listed buildings, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.


Your duties will include project management and building surveying on schools, historic, and agricultural buildings. You will conduct client meetings, prepare fee proposals, and oversee the full design and procurement of schemes. Survey work will include condition surveys, fire legislation compliance surveys, fire risk assessment surveys (FRAs), and party wall matters. You will ensure compliance with regulations such as the CDM, Town & Country Planning Act, Building Regulations, and The Control of Asbestos 2012.


What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management and building surveying on publicly owned non-residential buildings. You should be adept at handling projects with values ranging from £10K to £4M, including new and refurbishment schemes. Experience with modern and historic listed buildings is essential. You should be proficient in conducting FRAs, condition surveys, and defects analysis. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations is required.
