Position Summary

The Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the General Ledger, including performing day-to-day general ledger related accounting activities such as month end close, account reconciliations, and financial audits, as well as assisting in any account analysis and all associated reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

1. Assisting in the month end process including preparing and posting journals.
2. Maintain all Balance sheet accounts.
3. Assist in the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
4. Assist in the preparation of the VAT Returns, the corporation tax accrual, as well as organising payment for VAT, corporation tax and PSA.
5. Reconciling eCommerce, credit card accounts and intercompany accounts.
6. Carry out any training for new employees for the PO process.
7. Provide external auditors with assistance and gather necessary account information and documents for audit.
8. Assist on the preparation of the Statutory Accounts.
9. Support the Senior Accountant with ad hoc queries, analysis and projects.

Requirements

1. Part-Qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
2. 1-2 years’ experience in Accounting.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude, ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, with strong attention to detail.
5. Enjoys working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software (i.e. advanced excel skills and NetSuite).
