We are looking to recruit an Intelligence Researchers to join our Intelligence Unit. This is a 12-month maternity cover. The role will be a hybrid model based in our Birmingham office at The Cube.
The Intelligence Unit provides a vital function to our organisation.
The primary purpose of the Unit is to gather, record, assess, develop and disseminate intelligence received from a wide variety of sources in connection with the activities of the profession.
The Unit retains all intelligence it receives and assesses the credibility, usefulness and importance, before disseminating it internally or externally to partner agencies. The team operates in accordance with the National Intelligence Model (NIM).
Intelligence Researchers form part of the wider team, along with Intelligence Officers and a Senior Legal & Technical Advisor.
Reporting to an Intelligence Officer, you will:
The work of an Intelligence Researcher helps investigations into regulated individuals and firms, and assists the work of both internal and external stakeholders. Such investigations often involve serious regulatory breaches and allegations of criminality involving fraud and money laundering.
The successful applicant must either already have, or be prepared to go through, Security Check (SC) vetting.
This is a maternity leave cover. The successful candidate is expected to start in April.
The roles will be based in our Birmingham office 1-2 days a week, and from home the rest of the week.
